(More customer reviews)According to Panasonic, the only difference between the "TG56" model and the "TG54" model is that the TG56 model has better sound quality. I was amazed at how bad the sound quality was on this phone. The people on the other end said the quality was good, but on my end there was a lot of static and the voice volume constantly fluctuated, sometimes to the point where I could not hear anything at all. Even at the maximum setting, the volume on this phone was quieter than my other phone's lowest volume setting. The headset jack was also problematic, creating significant static if the cable twisted at all within the port, which it seemed to whenever I moved the phone. I tried this phone for a couple weeks before giving up on it and going back to my $20 GE 900MHz phone, which lacks the bells and whistles, but does a good job with the basics.
