(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these phones back in January, 2011. It had several important features that I was looking for:
* a big display,
* the display was backlit,
* it had a good speaker phone so that people could hear me well, and I could adjust the volume high enough to hear speakers well,
* it was wall-mountable,
* and unlike most phones being made today, IT HAS A "HOLD" BUTTON!
Unfortunately, when I mounted it on the wall in my kitchen I found that the handset does NOT press firmly on the phone's "hook." (You can see on the display that the phone is "off-hook.") When I noticed this I tried dialing myself from my cell phone and I got a busy signal. After several attempts taking it off the wall and trying to see if I might be mounting it incorrectly, I determined that it was the phones design and not me.
I sent it back to Amazon for a refund.
P.S. I have the other version of this phone, the Fanstel ST-50 (which I bought through Buy.com), and it suffers the same problem! I now use it as a desk phone.
