(More customer reviews)Bought mine from Amazon for $80, had it in 2 days.
Setup was brainless and easy. You PAIR the Bluetooth phone with the unit by pressing 1 of the 3 Blue buttons on top, so with 3 buttons you can pair 3 phones. The default code is 0000. I used 2 Blackberrys, 1 is an 8700 and the other is an 8330. Both found the device instantly. Then I used my Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone to dial out and receive calls. Both myself and the other callers could NOT tell I was on a cell phone because the quality was so good. I have good cell reception at my house, so I knew this would not be a factor.
I am buying another for my boss for a Christmas present because it works so well. This unit does NOT have an analog PSTN input. If you have a landline and cell phone and want to use both through your home phone, you need to buy the BTTN model, not this BT model. If you only have a cell phone and want this to be your home phone, then this is the correct unit to buy. You could also use this if your home phone supports 2 lines.
I did not test the USB or try to update because it worked right out of the box. I did notice that the caller ID info was passed to the headset, a nice touch. You also hear a dial tone when you dial out, not sure how that happens, but also a nice touch for those who want the device to 100% emulate a land line via your cell phone.
Excellent product(only owned it a week), will buy again.
