(More customer reviews)This dock has the ability to rotate to horizontal which is great for watching my Slingbox app. It can be adapted for several different iPod models with the included inserts. Big negative: It does not recognize running apps. It enters into sleep mode and there is no way to overide this. Bigger negative: The volume control is electronic and does not have the ability to compensate for audio files with low volume. The graduation is stepped in such a way that with the lowest setting (not off) you will not hear some audio. So, most times the volume will be too low or too high with no in between. Sold as "A\\Vol" in military exchanges. I bought a vertical dock made by Memorex at Best Buy for $37, far supperior solely because of the excellent volume control.
