Because plugging a battery in backward can mean instant death to both the battery and the telephone, we made sure to check the plug orientation on the old battery and match it with the new battery. The plug then went in quite easily and the battery worked beautifully, giving new life to our old Panasonic cordless phone. Seemed to have some charge already, since it worked right out of the box. We're pleased.
