(More customer reviews)Many manufacturers have many different names for this battery. The most common name for this Ni-MH battery is CPH-403D. When made with Ni-Cd batteries it is called CPB-403D. That's the low capacity version.
I have only had my batteries for a few days, but so far the CPH-403D Ni-MH batteries are working very well and e-battery was great.
At a rated capacity of 750 mAh these Ni-MH batteries hold a lot more power than the 300 mAh Ni-Cd battery that was originally in my cordless home phone. mAh measures battery capacity (think gas tank). That's the ability for a battery to supply "juice" over time. FYI: mAh = milli-Amp hours = 0.001 Amperes for 1 hour.
The title for this item says 600 mAh, but the original image on Amazon clearly shows 750 mAh and the batteries I received say 750 mAh right on each battery. When I look at the specs of other equivalent Ni-MH batteries they range from 600 mAh to 700 mAh. This manufacturer might be slightly optimistic. That's no big deal.
CPH-403D batteries are a cluster of three "2/3 size" AA batteries that have been affixed to each other with glue/resin and a bit of woven reinforcing material. The cluster is then shrink wrapped. There is a two wire "D" connector (see the images). The "2/3 size" batteries are actually more like 1/2 to 2/3 size of normal AA. These batteries are about 1 1/8 inches or 28 mm long. The battery pack is a touch taller than that because of the wires for the connector. D connectors are 7 mm wide. I provided a lot of images of the connector because they literally run from A to Z and there's 20 different somewhat common types of connectors. You can't get it right if you get the connector wrong.BEFORE LOOKING IN THE LISTS BELOW TO SEE IF THIS BATTERY IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR PHONE PLEASE ANSWER TWO QUESTIONS:
1 - DOES YOUR BATTERY CONNECTOR LOOK LIKE MY IMAGES OF A "D" CONNECTOR? (It can be any color.)
2 - IS THE HEIGHT OF THE BATTERIES IN YOUR BATTERY PACK ABOUT 1 1/8 INCHES = ABOUT 28 MM?
IF THE ANSWER IS NO TO EITHER OF THE QUESTIONS THEN PLEASE LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE ON AMAZON FOR YOUR BATTERY.This battery is compatible with my particular VTech phone. The back of the Empire package says it is compatible with the batteries/phones listed below.

I believe the battery/phone compatibility info below is correct, but I could be wrong in some cases. YMMV. This battery type is produced by so many manufacturers and is used in so many devices that the compatibility lists below cannot be complete. I've ignore a bunch of phone manufacturers because there's a limit to how long this post can be.
If anyone has corrections to this post please let everyone know by posting the updated info.
Some of the batteries listed immediately below are low capacity Ni-Cd CPB-403D. Again, CPH-403D batteries are (better) high capacity Ni-MH.
A CPH-403D can replace these batteries:

S60506There are some duplicates in the VTech phone list, for example 1712 = VT-1712.
VTech's model numbering can be confusing and their info on the net is not always clear about everything. Before looking at the models below please see the image of the "D" connector. If your connector is not like that look elsewhere on Amazon. If your battery pack is not 3 short batteries then look elsewhere on Amazon.
See vtechphone for any model not on this list. As I said their info is less than perfectly clear.
Proceed with caution on battery replacement for VTech 9000 (9###) models.
