(More customer reviews)This is a telephone headset, which I bought in the cordless phone headset isle of Best Buy back in 2007 or 2008. I crushed mine slamming the car door and am gladly buying 2 replacements here because it worked so well after I tried so many bad headsets from more well known companies.
A few things to be aware of when considering a purchase:
* It's very big for a year 2010 era cell headset, but probably mid-sized for a late 2000's cordless headset.
* The cord is mongo long - 6 feet, and will get tangled up if you keep it in your car. That's not a substantial problem though.
* The sound quality of what you hear is great!
* The microphone quality is great! I tried calling my landline from it and its microphone was great compared to cell phone headsets I tried. While using it for over a year, I never had anyone need to ask me to repeat what I said 8 times, unlike other headsets I've owned.
* On my cell headset, the volume that this produced sound at was moderate to extremely loud. Turning down the volume on my cell phone did not get this to produce sound at a "quiet" level. But at least I could hear other people in my car.
* Many times I've wished other products I own just functioned as well as this does. I'm not kidding. Anyone ever used a packaging tape dispenser (tape end always drops back on roll) or a refurbished oven from your landlord where the burners run cold until you turn them past "medium"?
