It seems that cordless phone batteries have a life span of about 1 year. Dropped calls and bad reception as well as short battery run time let you know it is time to get new batteries for your cordless phone.
The runtime on our Vtech 6053 phones had gotten so short that they were not usable for the long meetings my wife has to attend telephonically on her stay at home work days. These batteries made our phones like new.
