(More customer reviews)My wife has a very quiet voice that is pitched fairly high. The people she talks to on the phone are frequently unable to hear her unless she speaks loudly. I got her one of these amplifying handsets for her business phone and it has totally solved the problem. The handset simply replaces the original one by plugging the cord into the handset. That's all that's required. The volume control on the handset is easy to use, and the handset does the voice amplification, allowing my wife to speak in her normal voice while on the phone. I'd recommend this item to anyone who speaks softly, but still wants to be heard on the phone.
