Cordless phones have been a problem for me, with poor quality between kitchen and master bedroom even with the so called extended range phones. This is the first cordless phone system to meet my satisfaction. And I have tried lots. The range is great, a critical factor.
Sound quality is first rate, and the speaker phone works well, better than expected and no complaints from family or the caller at the other end. The intercom is a bonus.
I am relieved that all family members could figure it out without instruction. One can dial it like a landline or a cell phone, with or without getting the dial tone first. Nice touch.
The only down side is that they were too cheap to include provision for power outages which result in some setup feature loss.
I also checked out power usage, the remotes draw about a watt each, the central unit about 2-3 watts. At 10 cents per kilowatt hour, that calculates to about $5 a year for electricity. That beats my previous systems that cost about $20 a year for electricity. The marketing people missed this one. Imagine the countrywide energy savings if people switched over to more power efficient phone sets.
I've had the phones for 3 months now. So far reliability is OK.
