The talking caller ID rocks (talks in a computer voice) and it plays from both the handset and the base so we can always hear it. The speakerphone option on the handset is nice too when I'm in the kitchen cooking and can't hold on to the phone. The phone is very user friendly and calling in for messages is a breeze too. No need to remember what number to press to play your messages, it guides you through it. I had a great Panasonic phone many years ago and have no idea why I waited so long to go back! Offering a range of exciting features, including 2.4 GHz digital operation, the Panasonic KX-TG2248 connects you to the outside world with a consistently clear channel and plenty of room to roam. Special Voice Enhancer technology simulates additional bandwidth, allowing human voices to sound much more like they do in person than what we generally hear over the phone.
A two-line LCD on both the handset and the base supply access to caller ID information with subscription to service via your telephone company. The names and numbers of up to 30 callers will be displayed, along with the date and time of the call. Additionally, this model is equipped for Talking Caller ID that verbally announces who's on the line before you've even left the couch.
The built-in fully digital answering system provides up to 17 minutes of messaging, or eight minutes on the "best quality" setting. Memo recording, remote operation, and pre-recorded outgoing messages are all included. Panasonic provides a one-year warranty covering parts and service.
