(More customer reviews)The SBC-40 is a great compliment to any cordless or corded home phone. It uses similar technology that is in very expensive cordless phones. So instead of buying a cordless phone with Talking caller id you can add talking caller id to any home phone.
The SBC-40 has a volume control on the back and a mute button on front. It will announce the name of the telephone caller if it is provided by the telephone company. If the telephone company does not provide the name of the caller it will announce the telephone number of the person calling (if the telephone company provides it - otherwise it will announce unknown).
