(More customer reviews)Here in Elverta California, a rural suburb of Sacramento County, we used to get power outages on a regular basis. Most only lasted less than half an hour, but they happened once or twice a month. We own cordless phones that depend on the house current to work so we always kept a corded phone as backup.
About two years ago I saw this battery backup that is designed especially for cordless phones. It looked interesting so I bought one. It is small, attractive, and has served its purpose flawlessly for these last two years. It never failed even when we had an outage that lasted over twelve hours after a windstorm blew a pole down near our home.If you own a cordless phone and want to insure it works even during a power outage I strongly suggest you consider buying one of these. You can hook it up to your base unit. It will do nothing for any satellite handsets, but they will usually last for days unused and several hours of use between charges. In either case the handset on the base unit will always be available.
