We've had one of these for over six months and boy do my wife and I hate this thing. I'm giving it that second star because it does work (well, the second one worked, the first one died after a week).
Pros: Announces calling number, cheap, just about the only game in town these days unless you want a phone with your answering machine.
Cons: No blinking light or other indication of new messages. This is deadly unless you always delete all of your messages. Otherwise, you have to remember how many messages there were before you left the house. The calling number announcement doesn't have the right rhythm for 10-digit #'s, making it very difficult to understand. Pretty feeble audio quality. It has only a one digit display, so it shows 14 messages, for example, but showing - then 1 then 4.
