(More customer reviews)I was having a lot of problems with my V-tech phone, specifically that phone calls would disconnect early into a call. I have the expandable bluetooth phone with an answering machine base and three handsets. I was considering getting a new unit when I decided to determine whether new batteries would do the trick.
I wasn't convinced that the batteries were the issue because I had the same problem with all three handsets, which were purchased at different times, so the batteries were all different ages. Sure enough though, since replacing the batteries my phone is like new! Three new batteries cost me a lot less than a new phone system.
