(More customer reviews)After using the 3088 for about a month, I'm not thrilled. It does the important stuff like making and receiving calls just fine, but a couple basic interface issues like stiff keys can quickly sour the experience.
Pros:
- It was easy enough to set up out of the box.
- It's small and lightweight, with a fairly small base.
- I haven't had any range problems or dropped calls.
- The display is easy to read.
- It has a much more robust interface for special characters than typical phones.
Cons:
- The buttons are VERY stiff, which comes up every time you use the phone. Minor but annoying.
- It imports all your voicemail from Skype and marks it as new, with a blinking light on the handset to alert you. You have to listen to each one to clear the alert. Again, minor but annoying.
- Some callers have said they had a hard time hearing me; I don't know if that's the phone or something else though.
- Contacts can't have multiple phone numbers.
Bottom Line:
It does the job, looks nice, and has a handful of nuisance factors. None of it makes the phone unusable, but if you're easily annoyed this phone will raise your blood pressure. Considering the price tag, I'd say either look for a better value or better quality.
