(More customer reviews)I wrote a scathing review of the Clarity C-4230, which recently ended up in the trash. I was hoping the C-4220 would not suffer the same engineering problems as its big brother, but that was not to be.
Interestingly, the handset was consistently over-warm, no doubt due to the battery. Not sure what that means but I doubt if it's anything good.
This unit also suffers the same battery-reboot problem described in my C-4230 review. Phone rings, pick up the handset, hit Talk, nobody there. Hang up, a moment later try to get a dial tone, there is none. Remove handset battery for one minute, then it works OK. Try doing that five or six times a day.
I didn't care to keep it to see if it would develop all the other problems its big brother suffered; I returned it to the store. There is no excuse for such really poor engineering.
