(More customer reviews)The product itself is attractive. However, I wish it had been better disclosed that the phones do not have the "speaker" option. This was very disappointing to me, when I discovered I didn't have this option. Oh well, next time, I guess I better read the small print!

The Vtech CS5121-3 Three Handset Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Machine and Caller ID operates on the enhanced 5.8 GHz frequency for clear reception that won't interfere with WiFi networks in your home. The CS5121-3 includes three handsets (with one base and two charging cradles), allowing you to use three handsets with one phone jack. Each handset features a large, lighted display that makes for easy viewing. The CS5121-3 is caller ID/call waiting compatible, which tells you the name, number, time and date of incoming calls, even when you're already on the phone. It stores the information of the last 45 callers. The phone has a phonebook directory that stores 20 names and numbers which can be dialed with the touch of a button. There are also nine speed dial presets and an indicator alerting you of a waiting voicemail.
The Vtech CS5121-3 has a built-in digital answering system that has 15 minutes of recording time. With an all-digital design, there are no tapes to mess with and you can easily jump from one message to another without any wait. With remote message retrieval, you can call in from anywhere to get your messages. A backlit message counter clearly shows you how many messages you've received. Users can choose from a set of ringtones to personalize their phone. The handset fits comfortably in the hand and the phone includes a wall mount bracket for placement options.
